Shi Potian talks about Zisha: the grouting pot of Zisha introductory knowledge

The grouting pot is also called the grouting pot. Firstly, mud and water glass (a sodium silicate solution commonly used as a binder in the construction industry) are placed in a ball cylinder to make a mud with a particle size of about 200 mesh. The mud was then heated, paraffin wax added, and poured into plaster molds. After cooling, it is demolded and dried, and the teapot is formed after the pot flow and handle are inlaid, and the wax is dewaxed.
The technique of grouting pot is based on the technique of porcelain production. It was introduced by Yixing State-owned Zisha Factory in 1958 to improve production efficiency . Many Zisha masters participated in the research of this technique. The grouting pot has no sandy particles and poor air permeability, so it cannot be called a purple sand pot. Therefore, the grouting blanks are generally sandblasted on the outside to achieve the purpose of confusing the real ones.
